With over 25 years of teaching experience from pre-school to adults, I am excited to be using my skills for supporting students with English language learning at Cicero Education.
I love working with young students on developing their early literacy skills, including phonics, story writing and reading comprehension. It is also a pleasure to support older students with their writing and reading skills.
In addition to tutoring, I work part time at City of London Freemen’s School, supporting EAL students from Year 3 to Year 12. My work there includes developing early literacy skills, expanding student’s vocabulary across the curriculum, as well as improving grammar and structure in essay writing. In addition, I prepare students for the IELTS exam, to help EAL students secure places at British universities.
Away from teaching, I enjoy walking in the Surrey Hills, tending my garden and singing. Music is important to me, and songs and rhymes can often be heard emanating from my classroom!
