December English 11+ Revision Course (19th & 20th December)

Who the course is for:     All Year 6 children who are approaching 11+ entrance tests to independent senior schools in the coming few months.

Course details:          

Comprehension focus – reading the questions, retrieval and deduction, mark schemes and exam techniques. (Will need to bring some highlighters!)

Developing descriptive writing further. Use of writers’ tools. Creating atmosphere. Rewrite and improve a creative written piece focusing on language.

Creative writing – ‘SHAMPOO’, use of senses, atmosphere, structure, planning and ‘wow’ sentences.
